The Barossa wine region is a renowned wine-producing region northeast of Adelaide, in South Australia. Barossa incorporates both the Barossa Valley and Eden Valleys, making it one of the only wine regions in Australia to have neighbouring warm and cool climate growing conditions. While the Barossa Valley is most commonly associated with its signature grape variety of Shiraz, the region does grow a number of grape varieties. Among these other varieties are Riesling, Semillon, Chardonnay, Grenache, Mourvedre and Cabernet Sauvignon.
This easy-to-view map presents each main road colour coded to make it easy to follow. The whole design is in the style of Harry Beck’s topological London underground map from 1931. The Wineries indicated all have open cellar doors/tasting rooms whether seasonal, all year round or by appointment.
